Task 1

What can parents do to help their children succeed in school? (看題目關鍵詞可以被分為學習類，也可從“人物類”/“物品類”角度答題)

 

這道題從很早很早的時候(07年8月份左右)就出現過了，大多出現并且題干內容重合，都是再問說“如果同學/朋友/…歲的孩子，想學好一門…, TA應該做什么? … … ”。

 

思路解析：

Assertion：建議孩子多參加體育活動

Reason 1： 一方面鍛煉身體，對于學習效率更高。然后展開: 如果缺乏運動，一天到晚學習.... 老枯燥了~ ~ ~ 運動一下應該可以讓孩子更加有活力，學習的時候也更容易Focus。

 

Reason 2：另一方面： 孩子通過做一些集體活動，也可以鍛煉到他的合作精神/領導力。 展開： 學業的成功，不應該僅僅用成績來衡量(Being succeed in school is not necessarily about being good at academic study). 因為學術知識還是有限的，如果孩子可以在學校里面健康、快樂地長大，發掘出(Develop)一些自己的興趣、愛好，那其實就是成功了 … 等等

 

Task 2

Do you agree or disagree that students should join some social activities, such as joining clubs or sports groups?(是否同意學生應當參加一些社會活動? 如: 加入俱樂部或者運動組織? )

 

思路解析：

Assertion：我覺得可以參加體育鍛煉。

Reason 1：如第1題。(當然了，Please~ 不要傻傻地用一模一樣的答案來回答問題，變通一下，好不好？ 你把閱卷考官當傻子，你會有報應的。。。)

 

Reason 2：在學業壓力/工作壓力這么大的情況下，做做運動其實是一種非常好的放松方式。周末打打球，放松地很好，weekday開始的時候學習效率會更高一些。

 

Task 3

Newspaper: car rent service on campus

Student can rent car on campus and drive it off campus, so that it will make easier for students to travel and make the students who cannot afford a car access to it Conversation: the women is happy with the proposal

 

1) The campus is so far away the town, and the bus is 2 hour for a run. It will take hours to go to the town by bus, and if you have several places to visit in the town, it will take help a day.

 

2) She cannot afford to own a car as a student. Apart from the cost of the car, the maintenance and repair fee are also high. So car rent service is just the simple solution.

 

對話主人公贊同學校的決策并分別對學校給的兩個理由表示支持。理由就圍繞兩條：學校離鎮上遠，開車方便省時，作為學生，買不起車，租車是比較經濟的選擇。

 

Task4

概念=buffering: in order to be less aggressive to the stronger animals, the weaker animals always use a baby as a buffer to approach to the stronger animals?

 

Example: monkey in Japan, in the group, the stronger monkeys always the at the first line for food, and when the weaker monkeys approach them, the stronger one always attack the weaker ones, and leave few food to the weaker monkeys. What the weaker monkeys do is borrow a baby monkey form a mother monkey. It picks it up and carry it in front the stronger monkeys. As a result, the stronger monkey does not feel offended and even share some food to the weaker monkey.

 

我們只需要抓住less aggressive．stronger，weaker這幾個目的和主體詞，理解這個現象是關于什么的.

 

Task 5

Conversation: the women have some problem with her schedule: promise her elder sister to look after her baby, when her sister is out for a concert with her husband tonight, but she forgets that she has a history essay to do tonight.

 

Two solutions:

1) Cancel the schedule and make the couple go to the concert other day. But the ticket cannot be get date changed or refunded.

 

2) Take some books with her and go her sister’s home to take care of the baby, and do her history paper during the interval and after the baby goes to sleep.

 

Task 6.

How the methods of building change form the past to the current days?

 

Past: use thick stone build the base and the wall of high buildings. So that the thick stone can hold up the heavy weight on the top.

 

Drawbacks: make the inside room small and cramped

Example: the castle

Now: use steel, relatively thin steel can hold up more weight.

Example: of the building, the use of steel makes the room space big and copious.

 

T6的重點時能抓住和lecture的structure切合的表達，并適當結合例子，能抓住lecture核心信息—般分數都不會低．

 

寫作部分

 

 

獨立寫作：

 

獨立寫作真題回顧：The internet access is as important as road building and so forth, d.o you think government should provide internet access to all citizens at no cost?

 

 

第一個方面，對于那些經濟條件比較好的地區，當然可以這么做。

 

It takes little imagination to visualize that for those well-off regions, where people are not concerned so much about the basic needs of their life as about the satisfaction of their secondary needs, providing free internet access bodes well for the development of these places.

 

展開的時候直接可以說：

a treasure trove of information, essential propagator of knowledge, a remarkable avenue for the academically disadvantaged, vast reach over a variety of products and services

 

 

第二個方面，對于那些比較貧困的地區來說，還是算了吧，那么多更重要的問題有待解決呢，哪有閑錢搞因特網。

 

It takes even less imagination to think that for those poverty-stricken areas, where billions of poor people need a lot more energy to pull them out of poverty and drive economic development, improve life expectancies, and bolster human health, it is unjustifiable to opt for free internet connection.

 

綜合寫作

 

文章主旨：在美國eastern coast政府建了high-speed rails,閱讀認為在 San Francisco 和Los Angeles之間建一個相似的system,會benefit as well.

 

閱讀部分：

 

1: 修路花費很高，如果人們都take the train instead，there will be less damage to the road.

 

2: rails 是the most popular way to travel，更多的人乘坐會relieve the congestion.

 

3：it is more environmentally friendly, 因為速度更快，就會更fuel efficient,減少污染排放。

 

聽力部分：

 

1：修路確實會省一些錢，但是建這個鐵路需要花100 billion, 是人們一年交的tax的75倍，人們就付不起loan了。

 

2：如果這個station can be easily accessed，確實會有助于緩解交通擁擠，但是there is a lacking of the rail station, 而公共交通非常easily access, 所以不能緩解交通擁堵。

 

3：并沒有減少emission, 因為是高速列車，所以速度快才能保證排污少，一些tracks of some parts可以快，一些不可以，在不可以快速行駛的軌道上不得不減速，減速就會導致污染，所以會much less fuel efficient.
